Island which became part of East Nusa Tenggara Province is a native komodo(Varanus komodoensis) habitat . With an area of 1817 km ² Komodo Island a very good ecosystem. Besides komodo, this island is also a habitat for eagles, and various primates, the Komodo dragon is at the top of the food chain.
